I am now over the hill and can start to see that little glimmer of light which is the end of my photography degree... whilst it is still only a glimmer it's definitely coming!
The last six images that I have posted are some of my final project that deals with the concept of places and non-places. As you can see from the quote above, my exploration in this area focuses around the regeneration of areas. It seems more and more that public buildings are built to be flagships; train stations, airports and public toilets to name a few, but in the end just look lifeless. The exact lines and proportions (or not THAT exact as the case may be) only add to this soulless feeling.
The overall aim of this series is therefore to create a deadpan inspired typology of places and non places in which we rely on memory to exist in, despite the contradiction of theses spaces being the focus of regeneration to enhance culture in society. The are more images, but these I feel are the strongest (at the moment) and I welcome any comments.
Images in the series:
Non-Places: Airport
Non-Places: Toilets
Non-Places: Factory
Non-Places: Plane
Non-Places: Bus Shelter
Non-Places: Train Station

Where you run is where you hide, better hope you're hiding well. Cause when the angle catches you, you know you're damned to Hell.
It is very much appriciated.
I'm glad you like my work
